combinationknittingstep10"Did you know that the effects of knitting flow are similar to those of meditation? Our bodies are in a constant state of stress because our brain can't tell the difference between an upcoming meeting with the boss and an upcoming bear attack. The repetitive motions of knitting, for example, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which     quiets that 'fight or flight' response."

The promotion of creativity, community and stress relief are just a few of the reasons we host this gathering and encourage anyone looking for another form of stress relief to give it a try. The BOFYC meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 7:30-9:30pm at IHT. Whether you knit, crochet, spin, weave, sew and do some other amazing craft, we hope you'll join us as often as your schedule allows. Skill levels from newbie to expert are welcome. The BOFYC Facebook page is the place to share pictures, patterns, project progress, links and questions you might have about a project or yarn craft in general and you can find that HERE. Please feel free to share or invite anyone to join. The more the merrier!

We offer free pain management consultations.
